Troops Rescue 33 Abducted Passengers in Zamfara ZAMFARA, Nigeria — Nigerian troops have rescued 33 passengers who were abducted by terrorists in Zamfara State, in the latest security operation against kidnapping and armed attacks in the North-West. The rescue was carried out by troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, following information about the abduction of commuters travelling through the Magazu area of Tsafe Local Government Area. According to reports published on Monday, August 10, the troops received information about the incident on Saturday and moved to the area to locate the abducted passengers. Troops Engage Terrorists During the operation, the troops encountered the terrorists and engaged them in a gun battle.
